How does a PoE camera system work?

There are generally three ways to use power over ethernet camera system. And these are :

  1. Using a PoE Network Video Recorder to supply your PoE camera with data and power. You can then use the cable, to connect the NVR to a router.
  2. You can also use IP cameras with a PoE injector. To do this, connect one end of the ethernet junction to the camera and the other end to the injector. Then use a data cable to connect the injector to a router and then make sure that the injector has power.
  3. The other method is to use an IP camera and a PoE switch. That is often viewed as the simplest. All you will need to do is connect the two, and you're good to go.
